What Grape does

You upload documents or connect a GitHub repository. Grape builds a trigram index of every line and a short brief of every file. When you ask a question, it returns the few passages that answer it, with the file, page and line they came from.

Why not vectors

There is no embedding model to run. A changed file is searchable again in about a tenth of a second, and the index is about a third of the size of the embeddings for the same text. Questions in another language are rewritten into the language of your documents, so they still find the answer.
